WE HAD TO BRING IT BACK! “Uppercuts and Laser Tag” is one of our most favorite IPA’s, and this batch really ties the whole room together, maaaaan. As always, we made some slight tweaks in line with what we’ve learned lately, and we’re so so happy to revisit this absolute unit of a Hazy DDH IPA.
Starting with a base of @RiverbendMalt Chesapeake Pils, hefty doses of their Raw Wheat, Appalachian Wheat, and Oat Malt, and just bunches of Flaked Oats for body, and then open-hand slapped with Pacific Sunrise in the Whirlpool and then again with Vic Secret in the first dry-hop. The crew then decided to unleash a flurry of punches in the second dry-hop with more Vic Secret, Enigma, and a final heavy dose Citra Lupomax just because. It’s like getting into a street fight with a tropical fruit salad in a room full of lasers and smoke: passionfruit, papaya, pineapple, clementine, thick and chewy dab-rips, and an overwhelming sense of excitement (and a smidge of danger!).
Our processes will always grow and change, and it becomes most evident that we’ve made progress whenever we revisit an old recipe. We hope you dig this one as much as we do!
