CH CH CH. AH AH AH. What’s that noise?!
It’s been way too long since we’ve dropped a fresh DDH Hazy IPA, so we tapped our friends @milewidebeer to help us whip up “SUPREME SLASHER” for y’all. We’re both big fans of 80’s and 90’s nostalgia, so it made sense to throw together a super fruity, yet dank Hazy IPA. And obviously dry-hop it to oblivion.

Mashed with a base of @Riverbendmalt, as always, comprised of Cumberland Pilsner, Oats, Wheat, and Chit Malt, along with a smattering of Flaked Oats to ramp up that luscious body. Hopped on the hot side with Egger’s Riwaka and Columbus Cryo, and then hot-dipped with Citra Dynaboost in the fermenter. Fermented with our House Hazy yeast, dry-hopped once with more Egger’s Riwaka, spunded for natural carbonation, and then double-dry-hopped with Eclipse, Centennial, Rakau Amplifire Pellets, and Riwaka Amplifire Oil.
CH CH CH. AH AH AH. Ohhhh, shit. Is the joke that this is murderously hoppy?
Notes of Peach-meets-Lime inside a bag of Pineapple Express, a bit of something akin to Papaya Salad in a bowl of Fir sprigs, the organoleptic experience you get when you chew Juicy Fruit gum and drink Orange Juice at the same time, and a really overwhelming Peach-meets-Lime finishing character that really adds it up to be a terrifyingly MURDEROUS Hoppy vibe.
CH CH CH. AH AH AH. Oh, okay. I get it. Murderously Hoppy Hazy…Ugh. We need to get someone who knows how to write more engaging copy.
Full transparency, we tried to make this work for their Hops on the Hill festival last weekend, but a transformer exploded underground a little over a month ago and fried MULTIPLE switches on our glycol chiller and had us down for 8 days…if you know how awful that is, then you know that this label is weirdly appropriate. For those that don’t, it was about as painful as being chased by an unkillable serial killer/monster.
