A long, long time ago, we traveled up to Vermont to brew with our near and dear friends, Good Measure Beer. An unforgettable brewday that lead to multiple stitches and a temporary hospital visit, but the beer was a real ripper for sure.
We rebrewed the same base beer from that fateful day, with a few of our own DSSOLVR Chippy Boi™ tweaks. Mashed with Riverbend Malt 6-Row Pilsner, and a melange of their Husked and Huskless Oat Malts, hit hard in the boil with Hallertauer Mittelfruh, and then pummeled with Huell Melon in the Whirlpool. As always, fermented low and slow with our House Lager yeast, spunded for 100% natural carbonation, and cold-conditioned for many moons in a Horizontal Lager Tank.
This Pale Oat Lager jumps out of the glass like a freshly opened bag of Sliced White Bread, a bouquet of Wildflowers kissed with fresh citrus oil, bright Honeydew Melon rind. Encapsulated in a pillowy, full, yet dry body, with a perfectly thirst-quenching bitterness, and that Chippy Boi™ minerality we all know and love.
