“Rites of Rage” is next up in our Production Team’s recipe book. Jorge’s been begging to whip up a Scottish Ale, and we figured the time was nigh to let this lil’ ditty rip! Designed and brewed solely by Jorge himself, we’re all pleased as punch with the results!
Mashed with a melange of 100% @riverbendmalt, consisting of Southern Select, Light Munich, Dark Munich, Chit Malt, and Crystal Malt and a painstakingly-accurate Scottish Water Profile. Boiled for a few hours and hopped liberally with UK Fuggles before being fermented low and slow with our House Pub Ale yeast. Of course, spunded for natural carbonation, too!
We experience rich and freshly-toasted Brown Bread, just the super crunchy bottom of biscuits that sat cooling on the hot pan, a bit of Raisins dipped in Brown Sugar and Caramel, and just a kiss of extra-chewy Malt covered in Toffee.
We did rack a weeee bit of this off for Cask in a few weeks, and then a WEEEEE bit more to be blended with some VERY mature Bourbon Barrel Barleywine, so be on the lookout for “SUPER RAGE” to be released alongside this!
