This is not a “Touchless Knockout”, this is just a tribute…also, it’s a West Coast DIPA.
When the House of Bubs (@americansolera) asks if you wanna do a collab, the answer is always going to be a wholehearted “HELL YEAH, BUB!” So when the main bub himself (@mattdenham) sent @vince_tursi a video showing the secret art of Touchless Knockouts, well…let’s just say we were intrigued. After many, MANY hours of unsuccessful attempts to master the art of the Touchless Knockout ourselves, we decided it was best to just brew a beer in it’s honor. We actually decided to BOTH brew the beer at each of our respective breweries and co-release them in order to better preach the gospel of this elusive and ancient art form.
Mashed with 100% @riverbendmalt, but a very simple base of Chesapeake Pilsner and Chit Malt, along with a hefty dose of Cane Sugar to help dry it out. We then hit it throughout the boil with Centennial, and very hard in the Whirlpool with Simcoe, along with a hefty Hot Dip of Simcoe Dynaboost for maximum dank-itude. We then fermented this with our House Ale yeast, spunded it for natural carbonation, and then dry-hopped the living hell out of this beast with a mountain of Simcoe, Nelson Cryo, and Mosaic Cryo. Simcoe is King. All hail Simcoe.
We experience notes of White Peach getting suplexed into a pool of Grape Hi-Chew and Satsuma zest through a cloud of bong rips, probably a little Mango dipped in live resin and rolled in tree sap and chiefed down by James while he’s inside his Giant Peach, and an absolutely stunning lack of alcohol presence. Dank, sticky, fruity, bright, and FANTASTICAL. And, of course, this has the overwhelming sensation of a grown adult getting absolutely knocked the fuck out by THE POWER OF FORCE ITSELF! IT’S REAL! HATERS WILL SAY IT’S FAKE! DON’T BE FOOLED!
Try some for yourself, and please feel free to let us know if you end up mastering the art of the Touchless Knockout. Video submissions are welcome, but hey, no pressure.
