ARRRRGH! YE WOULDN’T STEAL A CAR, WOULD YE?!
“Pirated DVD” is a Munich-style Helles Lager brewed in collaboration with our swash-buckling pals over at Edward Teach Brewing. We’ve been dying to get a collab with them on the books for some time now, and we’re pretty stoked to finally drop this bad little ditty.
Mashed with 100% Riverbend malt consisting of Pilsner, a touch of Light Munich, and just a kiss of Vienna malt. Hit in the boil with Saaz, and then absolutely pummeled in the Whirlpool with Wakatu. Fermented low and slow with our House Lager yeast, spunded for 100% natural carbonation, and laid to rest in our Horizontal Lagering tanks for many moons.
We experience a cup of Cantaloupe and Honeydew Melon balls, soft and fresh baguettes on the high seas, just a kiss of malty complexity, a treasure chest full of gold doubloons, and an astoundingly clean, fruity, hoppy finish with very low bitterness. A super fun intersection between the softness and full-bodied Malt profile of a traditional Munich Helles and our heavy-handed fruity-hop approach to pretty much all of our beers. Damn, this is crushable.
