“A Single Tear” is here to celebrate one of our favorite bands, Converge, and their upcoming show in Asheville on March 13th! As well as our pre-show party in our taproom that same day!
We’re big fans of the band Converge, having grown up in the Boston Hardcore scene and seeing countless shows of theirs over our lifetimes. When we heard they were coming to Asheville, we absolutely had to brew a beer to celebrate. To be clear, this is not a collab with the band, but a beer brewed in celebration of growing up in Boston, listening to the band and slamming High Lifes with our buds, and to commemorate our official pre-party for their show on March 13th!
We felt that an American Corn Lager was the most appropriate beer, and thus, we bring you “A Single Tear”. Mashed with a 100% Riverbend Malt grist comprised of Pilsner and Corn. Hopped VERY gently, fermented low and slow with our House Lager yeast, and then Lagered for many moons.
We experience what High Life wishes it was. Light maltiness, a beautiful Corn presence, smooth and subtle hop character, and SUPREME crushability. Hell yeah. Slam this.
