With the holiday season upon us, you should probably make room for “Only Happy Thoughts”, our newest Dortmunder Lager. Our journey down this German-style Dortmunder path started with “VR Pizza Boi” a few months back, and we’re very excited to fold that style into our portfolio once again.
Mashed solely with Riverbend Expedition Pilsner (a choice 2-Row varietal that presents a bit more malt-forward and less floral than their typical 6-Row Pilsner), blessed with our hardest water profile to date, and hopped with a whole lot of Perle and Saaz in the Kettle and Whirlpool. We fermented it low and slow with our House Lager yeast, spunded it for 100% natural carbonation, and allowed it to rest in our Horizontal Tanks for many moons.
Notes of freshly baked Biscuits, a meadow of wildflowers in the Sun, a perfectly sippable glass of crisp Fall air, and licking a slab of granite…in the best possible way.
