Y’ALL ARE EXCEPTIONAL AND EXCEPTIONAL FOLKS DESERVE “NITE LIFE RESERVE!”
We always seem to find ourselves waxing philosophical about our favorite thing to brew being Lager of all kinds, and how much we love using Local Malt to put our own spin on the style. So with last Summer’s successful launch of “Eye Life” and all signs pointing to this being “Dark Czech Lager Summer”, we figured this was the PERFECT time to whip up our own Dark Czech Lager! And thus, “Nite Life Reserve” was born!
Mashed with a loving (AND SECRET!) blend of @riverbendmalt Malts (and some German Roasted Malt), hopped ever-so-gently with (ALSO SECRET!!) Czech-grown hop additions, and fermented with our House Lager Yeast. Of course, it was spunded for natural carbonation before being laid down to rest in one of our Horizontal Lager Tanks for a couple-two-t’ree moons.
With this line of ultra-classic Lagers, specific ingredients are not nearly as important as the final product, and we felt that by keeping those close to the chest, the style itself would be the descriptor. And with that, we are elated to say this is our best (and first?!) version of the style. Cold, crisp, far smoother than the color would have you believe, just enough Hop character to tie the whole room together, and just enough roasted Malt character to keep you wanting a LIIIIIITLE bit more. Just like 4-8 more Pints, nothing crazy. Fresh-baked bread with a dusting of Cocoa, Jasmine Tea in a Brown Bread bowl, and a very beautiful balance. Fuck yeah.
