You asked, we listened, and then you drank us out of house and home on the first batch! SO WE BROUGHT “MOUTH GUARD” CITRUS WHEAT ALE BAAAAACK! After many attempts to answer the question, “Yeah, but what do you have that’s closest to Blue Moon?”, we decided to strip it all down and drop a Citrus Wheat Ale on your asses. And we did. And you absolutely guzzled it down so much faster than anticipated. No joke, it didn’t leave the top 5 in sales volume from the time it went on draft. Hell yeah, y’all. We did dial back the Citrus a very tiny bit on this one, because we really are listening!

Mashed with a base of @riverbendmalt Chesapeake Pils and an overwhelming amount of Wheat, consisting of @riverbendmalt Sunset Wheat, @proximitymalt Atlantic Wheat, along with Flaked Wheat and a touch of Flaked Oats for good measure. Fermented with our House IPA strain for dat haze, spunded for a very soft natural carbonation, and conditioned on just a boatload of Tangerine juice, along with a whole mess (albeit slightly less this time!) of freshly zested Orange and Lemon peels.  Contrary to the name, this is very intentionally made to be super soft and balanced!

Just a big, soft, Wheat-forward Ale with a kiss of miscellaneous Citrus. We specifically chose a blend of Citrus fruits and the juice+zest method to maximize a wall of flavor that hits on every part of the palate, but didn’t overload it at any point. It’s a complimentary balance of full-bodied Wheat and bright-yet-crushable Citrus. It’s essentially Summertime in liquid form!
