We’re very excited to announce a new series of Hop exploration for us: “MORE” DDH IPA. We’ll be releasing these on a regular basis, but each batch will highlight one hop varietal on top of a very solid backbone of Citra. For the first release, we’re highlighting a new-to-us favorite: NECTARON! Each of these releases will feature the exact same Malt base and Citra treatments throughout, but we’ll sub out the other Hop for something fun and exciting!
“MORE: Nectaron” is comprised of a base of @riverbendmalt Cumberland Pilsner and 2-Row Base Camp, along with a very hefty dose of Riverbend Oats and Chit, and a dusting of Flaked Oats. We then pummeled the Whirlpool with the first dash of Nectaron, along with a baseline of Citra Cryo pellets and hot-dipped the Fermenter with Citra Dynaboost. Fermented with our House IPA yeast, dry-hopped first with more Nectaron and spunded for 100% natural carbonation, then dry-hopped a second time with MORE Nectaron and Citra Cryo.
If you’ve had any of our “There For More” series, you’ve got an idea of where we’re going with this, but we wanted to start playing with a lower ABV base and SLIGHTLY less hop saturation for the non-DIPA versions in this series. We’re so so stoked. Still saturated as hell, just with MORE drinkability!
