IG:80 – DDH NEIPA
DDH NEIPA – 6.6%
4PK – 16oz Cans
We would like to present “IG:80” for your enjoyment, a Hazy IPA meant to be a little different from our normal offerings. We wanted to take a step back and reassess our IPA methodology yet again in an effort to provide some differentiation in our IPA portfolio. So we had Bens Silvestro riff on our IPA base, capitalize on a different yeast strain, and change a few things up. Expect a lighter body, similar hop saturation, and a more subdued, but citrus-forward yeast presence.
Mashed with a base of Riverbend Malt, and a slightly larger-than-average proportion of Oats and Wheat, fermented with a new-to-us yeast strain, and hopped and dry-hopped with a dizzying amount of Pacifica and El Dorado.
Notes of under ripe Nectarines, fresh and drippy Honeydew Melon wedges, the first spoonful from a Mandarin Orange fruit cup, and a pithy twang like biting right into a Satsuma Orange. It finishes with a lighter-than-normal body (for us), and a very plump Wheat character. “IG:80” may not be the most deadly IPA in the universe, but it’ll damn sure get the job done without going into self-destruct mode.
