Sour Peach Ring Kettle Sour w/ Marshmallows?! ARE THERE NO RULES?! IS THIS JUST CHAOS?! Yes…and yes, we did do that. AND IT’S IN A MIX PACK?!?! WHAT?!

“Fun de Mental” is a Sour Peach Ring Marshmallow Kettle Sour Ale that we made in collaboration with our buds Odd by Nature Brewing. Mashed with a base of Riverbend  2-Row, along with Wheat, Honey Malt, and Flaked Wheat. Soured overnight in our kettle, and Whirlpooled with a truly staggering amount of Sour Peach Ring candies. We then fermented this low and slow with our House IPA yeast and conditioned it on twice the normal amount of Marshmallow we typically use for our weird Kettle Sour Ales.

The result is….Sour Peach Rings covered in Marshmallow. Super pleasant tartness, medium body, and that’s kinda all there is to say. Super balanced for as much candy presence as there is, which, uh…yeah there’s a lot of candy presence.

WHAT IN THE HECK IS A MELBA?! Funny you should ask! Melba is a kind of cake/cheesecake/pie/fruit dessert hybrid of deliciousness. With that in mind, we took to the drawing board with our buds Odd by Nature Brewing and came up with this wacky abomination of a beer. 

“Torment Engine” is a Raspberry Banana Melba Cheesecake Sour Ale. Mashed with a base of Riverbend 2-Row along with Wheat, Honey Malt, and Flaked Wheat. Soured overnight in our kettle, and Whirlpooled with more Raspberry than we’ve used ever before. We then fermented this low and slow with our House IPA yeast and then refermented it with Raspberry and Banana before conditioning it on a hint of fresh-ground Cinnamon and a tasteful amount of Cheesecake.

We experience a fat slice of Cheesecake on a slab of White Cake on a chunk of Graham Cracker, slathered in Vanilla Ice Cream, drowned in Raspberry compote, drizzled in Bananas Foster. Yeah. It’s a liquid dessert. It’s also an Ale and the future is now, bud. Deal with it.
