IT’S BAAAAAACK! “Evil Appetite” DIPA is making a triumphant return next week! Both the DSSOLVR and Heist Brewing crews have been anxiously awaiting the right time to bring it back, and we are very excited to present you with this Double Dry Hopped Double Oat Double IPA.
Originally, we wanted to showcase the differences in approach that each brewery takes to DIPA, while also playing on a fun base for a hoppy Heavyweight. We started with a base of Riverbend 2-Row and loaded it up with about twice the normal amount of Oats (for us), in a gigantic combination of Malted, Flaked, and Golden Oats. We then hit it gently in the Whirlpool, and VERY aggressively in the first dry hop with Citra. We then seriously pummeled this baby with a MASSIVE second dry hop of even more Citra, Citra Cryo, Nelson Sauvin, and Vic Secret.
Jumping right off the rip with a big hit of Grape Hi-Chew candies wrapped in white grape skins, overflowing jugs of Satsuma Orange juice, underripe Apricots, Pineapple and Coconut Cream slushies on the beach, and just a hint of that surprise kief at the bottom of your grinder (because it wouldn’t be a DIPA from us without a weed reference). Massive body, massive hop nose, massive flavor, insane drinkability. Just pure evil from start to finish. Whet that appetite, BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
