“Digital Distortion” is a collab with our Georgia brethren @sceptrebrewingarts, and is our first stab at a Hazy Pale Ale in quite some time. We couldn’t keep going back to the fact that we are just always reaching for a Lower-ABV offering at some point, but haven’t quite been able to scratch that itch with Hazies we’ve found in the market, so we decided to just make our own 5% BANGER…and we friggin’ nailed it. We’ve been looking for the perfect excuse to revisit the style, and the shared excitement seemed PERFECTLY APPROPRIATE.
An allday crusher that has a little bit of the best things: Fruity, dank, hazy, juicy, and ultimate crushability. Mashed with a medley of Riverbend Chesapeake Pils and Wheat, and a hefty dose Flaked Oats for good measure. Hopped aggressively throughout the whirlpool and multiple dry-hops with a kissable trio of Deep Cut Cascade, Comet, and Amarillo CGX (ALL HOPS FROM OUR BUDS @CROSBYHOPFARMS !!!). Fermented with our House IPA yeast for the juicy treatment, spunded for natural carb and bountiful mouthfeel, blah blah blah. Made specifically for drinking many pints over many Summer nights.
A super balanced lil’ Hazy Pale Ale slopped right up with the olfactory goodness of fresh-AF Apricots, a bowl of Oats soaked in old school Tang, and juuuuust a hint of dankness that definitely reminds you of the parking lot before an STS9 show.
