REJOICE! WE HAVE BEEN “BORN AGAIN AGAIN IN THE JUICY”!
After we decided we had figured out where we wanted our annual “Born in the Juicy” IPA base to really sit, more new hop products came out and we knew we had to run it back once more. Mashed with a base of @Riverbend 2-Row and @Proximitymalt Wheat, then smothered with Crystal in the Whirlpool and Mosaic Incognito “hot-dipped” in the FV, and fermented with our House IPA yeast. It was then dry-hopped with Citra and Mosaic, and dry-hopped again with EVEN MORE Citra and Mosaic, along with an abundance of Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo, and a new pourable Hop Liquid from @yakimachiefhops called Citra 701 that captures all the greatness of Citra in a HIGHLY concentrated and easy-to-use extract. It’s ALL THE WAY ALL THE WAY AMPED UP PAST 11, and still equally dank, fruity, full-bodied, and crushable as the base always has been. Exactly what we were always striving for with this beer, and then some more. Again, again.
We experience sticky Orange Marmalade, creamy Apricot puree, that first whiff from a fresh bag of Blueberry mini muffins, the fruitiest of dabs to your dome, and some fresh Pineapple Sage slapped in your palms and inhaled deeply.
“Born in the Juicy” was originally something we were very excited to keep in fairly regular rotation. Instead, it has quickly become our barometer for innovation in-house. We take the same base beer and add new products and process tweaks we’ve learned throughout a period of time and use it to showcase exactly how far we’ve come. We’re happier every time we run it back, and hope you are, too!
