ALL HAIL “BOOTLEG LIZARD WIZARD”, our WCIPA made in collaboration with @pinkbootssociety (and in adoration of @KingGizzard and all things RAWK-N-ROLL) with the killer graphic from @cygoodies.
Mashed with a simple base of 100% @riverbendmalt, comprised of Chesapeake Pilsner and a touch of Chit Malt. Hopped heavily throughout the boil with Columbus, and then hopped in the Whirlpool with a smattering of Michigan Centennial. Fermented with our House IPA Yeast, spunded for natural carbonation, and Dry Hopped only once, but very heavily with a fat charge of Pink Boots Hop Blend and even more Michigan Centennial.
We experience a nice melange of Resin-meets-Citrus, a strong and assertive bitterness with a big fruity finish, Orange rinds dipped in Orange marmalade and Blueberry compote, and a really pleasant dankness that lingers juuuuuust long enough. Not quite as long as the riffs that King Gizzard is dropping, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
Did we originally brew this beer to celebrate King Gizzard coming to AVL? Yes. Do we think it works for Billy Strings, as well? Yes. Do we really think we needed an excuse to bring it back? Absolutely not!
