What’s That Horse’s Name?
New Zealand Pilsner – 6.66%
4PK – 16oz Cans

Hey there, Cowboy. That thing sure is a real beauty. So, can you tell me… “What’s That Horse’s Name?” OH, THIS THING RIGHT HERE?! Well, now, we happen to call that little fella a New Zealand Pilsner! We realized we hadn’t brewed a NZ Pils in QUITE some time, so we had to rectify that and brought along the sweethearts at @cellarestbeerproject to help guide this horse to water.

Mashed with a base of 100% @Riverbendmalt, comprised of a blend of Czech Pilsner and Chesapeake Pilsner and a dash of Chit Malt, specifically to pull out Malt presence and present a minimized Malt backbone to let the hops shine. Hopped generously throughout the boil with Egger’s Motueka and Whirlpooled heavily with Egger’s Riwaka before being fermented low and slow with our House Lager Yeast and spunded for natural carbonation. It was then hit with a Dry Hop of Egger’s Rakau and NZ Cascade Liquid Lupulin before being laid down for a slightly-shorter-than-normal rest in our Horizontal Lager Tanks.

We experience an incredibly soft and gentle body like that of a Horse’s mane, plenty of Citrus zest and Pear juice, a sort of Plum-wine Soju vibe, an absolutely undeniable “New Zealand fruity” hop bouquet throughout, and just a kiss of that dank-and-grassy character to take you back out to your days on the Dude Ranch. Saddle up and kick on those spurs, cowboy, cuz this one’s gonna be an easy trot all the way to Flavortown.

We love this ALMOST as much as we love the Cellarest and Egger’s crews. And we hope you feel the same!

Available on draft and in cans in AVL and DRM on 10/31.
