“Unicorn Bloodbath” was truly made as an excuse to hang with our Tactical brethren, but made with the intensity of going to battle with the ultimate mythical beast, while also riffing on their love of rainbow color schemes and all things fantastical. We honestly love talking shop with the homies, and have been itching for an excuse to mesh our IPA approach with that of Tactical.
Mashed with @riverbendmalt, comprised of a blend of 2-Row and Pilsner and a very heavy-handed dose of Wheat Malt, Oat Malt, and Flaked Oats.. Hopped in the Whirlpool with Egger’s Riwaka and Citra Cryo and Hot Dipped in the Fermenter with Mosaic Dynaboost, fermented with our House Hazy IPA yeast and spunded for dat natty carb. Dry hopped first with Mosaic, and then dry hopped a second time with Egger’s Motueka, Egger’s Mike’s Magic Mix Lupulin Pellets, and of course we had to hit it with some Citra + Tangerine Liquid Lupulin to collectively push a much more tropical-fruit-meets-citrus vibe.
We experience some of the following things: those little Donut Peaches dusted in Clementine zest, a bit of Gooseberry, a fistful of Mike and Ikes washed down with a big gulp of Tamarind Jarritos, a cold glass of Sunny D, and maybe a little bit of Unicorn tears and rainbows and neon daydreams in the land of Kushtopia. Super crushable while also assertively hoppy on all fronts. It ticks all the boxes while maintaining all the juicy character we love in our Hazies!
