“Lead Foot” was very specifically brewed in celebration of the two-week residency of Billy Strings in Asheville! We wanted to riff on a style that we felt would be as crushable as possible. Something to help satiate your thirst throughout the whole set, but still maintaining JUST enough complexity to keep you craving the next pint or five.
Mashed with 100% @riverbendmalt and a kiss of American-grown hops. It was then fermented with our House Lager Yeast and spunded for natural carbonation before being laid down to rest in one of our Horizontal Lager Tanks for many moons.
We firmly believe that with American Lagers, the specific ingredients are not nearly as important as the final product, thereby allowing for the chance that the style itself would be the descriptor. And with that, we are very happy to say this is another VERY FUN version of the style. Cold, crisp, just enough bite to match the high minerality, just enough hop character to tie the whole room together, and just enough character to keep you wanting a LIIIIIITLE bit more.
Fresh-baked bread, Wildflowers, a touch of Green Tea, and a very beautiful balance. Fuck yeah.
