“Psychedelic Circus” was originally in our series of IPA’s designed by our production staff, and it gained a little cult following. We honestly just kinda moved in a different direction with our IPA program, but have been itching to find an excuse to bring this back. Of course, leave it to the homies @eggershopfarms to come up with an insane project that fit the bill!
In March 2025, a full blood moon and total lunar eclipse occurred. During this event, Egger’s Hops in Nelson, New Zealand, harvested a special crop of hops: Nelson Sauvin. Egger’s Hops then sent these hops to breweries in the UK and North America to create a global collaboration brew, with the marketing campaign coinciding with the Northern Hemisphere’s Harvest Moon in October. The timing was intentional for the beer’s release, making the campaign a “global full moon harvest collab”. So for our part, we timed it where we did our first big Dry Hop on 10/6, UNDER THE POWER OF THE FULL MOON!
Mashed with @riverbendmalt, comprised of a blend of 2-Row and Pilsner and a smattering of Wheat Malt, Malted Oats, and Chit Malt, as well as a heavy dose of Flaked Oats. Hopped in the Whirlpool with FULL MOON Nelson Sauvin and Hot Dipped in the Fermenter with Sabro Incognito, fermented with a new favorite Hazy IPA yeast and spunded for dat natty carb. Dry hopped at first, AND UNDER THE POWER OF THE FULL MOON with more Full Moon Nelson, and then dry hopped a second time with BRU-1, Talus, and EVEN MORE FULL MOON Nelson Sauvin, and of course we had to hit it with some Citra Cryo to collectively push a much more tropical-fruit-meets-stone-fruit vibe.
We experience the aforementioned things: fruity-breakfast-cereal, White Peach and Papaya, Pineapple candies and maybe some Hi-Chew notes, a huge glass of fresh Sauv Blanc juice, and all of that is wrapped up in a mystical and otherworldly blanket of dank and sticky Nelson Sauvin goodness. Super crushable and hyper approachable. It ticks all the boxes while maintaining crushability first!
