“WELCOME TO PYRAMID COUNTRY ” has returned, and now with a Fresh Hop twist! Much like the pyramids of Giza, NO ONE KNOWS how this beer was created! So since nobody knows, why not continue our exploration into Fresh Hop territory?! It only made sense to throw in some NUVO CGX Fresh Hop pellets and give this one a little razzle dazzle. What is NUVO CGX, you might ask? Well, traditionally fresh hops have to be used immediately after being picked or they need to be processed for pelletizing. Meaning the window to use fresh hops is VERY small! So @crosbyhops developed a new way of immediately freezing and then processing freshly picked hops to lock in that flavor and preserve it in order to extend the window of time to be able to use them! Ain’t technology great?!
Still the exact same base recipe, but with the addition of Idaho 7 Fresh Hops in the Whirlpool and Dry Hop! This West Coast IPA is crafted with a simple base of 100% @riverbendmalt comprised of Chesapeake Pilsner and Chit Malt. We went heavy on the hops throughout the Boil and Whirlpool with Chinook, as well as the addition of Idaho 7 NUVO CGX fresh hops, then amped up the fruity-tooty vibes by hot-dipping it in the fermenter with El Dorado Incognito. Fermented low and slow with our trusted West Coast yeast and naturally carbonated. It’s dry-hopped generously with Idaho 7, Columbus Cryo, and an additional hit of Idaho 7 NUVO CGX fresh hops for maximum raditude.
Expect riffed-out bliss, fresh Grapefruit pith, resinous Pineapple wedges, seaside spliffs, someone noodling on a guitar just right, and a big fat bag of Mike and Ikes washed down with a glass of Purple drink in those nostalgic plastic grenade-style jugs. Clean, crisp, refreshing, fruity, and just bitter enough to keep you coming back for more. Same great Pyramid Country, but dialed up a few fresh-ass notches. It’s a true hoppy banger: a flavor journey that will re-fresh and delight the senses!
