WHOA WHOA WHOA! RETURN OF A LONG AWAITED BASTARDIZED VERSION OF A STYLE?! “TONE DEATH” IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!

A few years ago, we had the idea of doing something totally tone deaf with a bunch of properly aged Imperial Stout, and aged it on an arguably stupid amount of adjuncts that kinda buried any sense of subtlety. We loved it then, and we wanted to bring it back, but even bigger and even dumber than before! AND IN 2pk 16oz CANS! ERRR MAAAHHHH GERRRRRD!

For this iteration, we took a base of Stainless Steel fermented Brown Sugar Imperial Stout, and then blended that with 26mo Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine and 46mo Bourbon Barrel Barleywine. Then, we aged all of that on a very large pile of Wild Thai Banana, Maple, and Vanilla. We then took it a step further and conditioned it atop a mountain of freshly roasted coffee from our sweet, sweet buds @cooperativecoffee. We then took it ANOTHER step further and blended in some house-made coldbrew from Colombian Mirador coffee beans and rested on even more El Tigre Dark Roast beans. ALL THE BEANS!

The result is a cacophony of flavors. Forget Flavortown, this is a straight-up one-way ticket to FlavorCITY. It’s like a Bananas Foster dipped in Maple Syrup, slapped on a huge pile of IHOP pancakes, drizzled in Bourbon, slathered in Chocolate Syrup, and then topped with a fat scoop of French Vanilla Ice Cream. It’s got all that, plus some Brownie Batter, some light baking spice and Molasses, and a beautiful oaky-vanillin-tannin structure that keeps it from going truly out of control.
