Every year for our Anniversary, I go through and select my favorite barrel that needs no adjuncts, regardless of whatever the plan may have been when we filled it. This year, we are EXTREMELY pleased to offer up something super special, yet again, and provide a peek into why we do what we do with the barrel program.
“Third Anniversary” is an Imperial Baltic Porter aged 19 months in a Blanton’s Bourbon barrel. We were immediately jazzed on this barrel when we got it in, and to see it shine so bright is truly a great reward. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
We experience rich and enveloping waves of Chocolate Fondue, smooth glugs of Hot Cocoa, and a couple-a sniffs of some real supple leather warming in the sun, a balanced fistful of oaky vanillin drenched in Bourbon, and the feeling of three fucking years under the helm!
