Coffee King Cake Imperial Stout – 11% ABV

“King of Cakes” is an Imperial Stout w/ Mexican Vanilla Beans, Cinnamon, Cooperative Coffee Coffee Beans, and French Broad Chocolate Cacao Nibs. We started with a big ol’ Stout base comprised of Riverbend Malt and Proximity Malt, along with some other specialty and roasted malts. We then boiled this beast for MANY hours along with hefty doses of Turbinado sugar for some cake-y complexity, and then fermented it with an English yeast.We then transferred this beer onto a huge amount of Mexican Vanilla Beans (1#/bbl), a skosh of fresh-ground Cinnamon, some freshly roasted Coffee from our sweetheart forever-buds Cooperative Coffee Roasters, and A LOT of Cacao Nibs from French Broad Chocolates.
Notes of “Holy fuckin shit”, a whole jar of hot fudge poured onto a singular brownie, a fresh cup of Coffee with a dusting of Cinnamon (but NOT PSL vibes, okay?!), and a bit of hot-out-the-oven King Cake filled with luck and weird little baby toys. We wanted to make sure everyone experienced some good luck this year, though, so in King Cake style, every bottle comes with a lil’ baby for you to find (on the outside, obviously).
